Rs 1.88 cr compensation released for 283 man-animal conflict victims: Lal Singh News By :-   29/7News Published on : 20 Jan,2018  The Minister for Forests, Lal Singh informed the House that government has paid Rs 1.88 crore as compensation to the victims of man-animal conflict incidents in last two years.    Replying to a question by Mr Mubarak Gul, he said 283 man-animal conflict incidents were reported during 2 years in which 30 persons died and 253 were injured. He said Rs 1.05 crore was released to pay compensation to the injured and Rs 83.70 lakh to the NoK of those killed in these incidents.       Listing the measures taken to minimize the incidents, he said   control rooms have been constituted at strategic points which work round the clock, equipped with tranquilizing guns, medicines, capture nets, etc. He further said that cages are installed at vulnerable points to capture wild animals which pose...

Dy CM visits border firing victims at GMC JAMMU, JANUARY 19: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh, today visited Government Medical College & Hospital (GMC&H) here, to enquire about the condition of people injured in cross-border firing last night in RS Pura, Suchetgarh and Arnia sector of Jammu region. Dy CM enquired about the condition of the injured and medical facilities provided to them. He was briefed by a team of doctors, led by Principal, GMC, Dr. Sunanda Raina, Medical Superintendent about the treatment being provided to the patients. Dr Singh directed the concerned officials to ensure best medicare to the injured While interacting with the injured patients and their attendants, Dy CM assured them that best medical facilities would be provided to them.

Who was raped and murderd by a monster eight day ago. To show sympathy with the victim and condemnation of  the brutal act, a Peaceful candle light vigil under the guidence of Mudasir Ahanger along with several youths of Kishtwar started from Dak Bunglow kishtwar and ended near old DC Office after walking whole city with candles and posters.

The English Department was responsible for the same. The quiz was organised for the students of Middle Wing. It was held on the topics like spell bee, new words and their meaning, synonyms, antonyms, pronunciation, one-word substitution, jumbled words and riddles. The quiz master was Ms. Harneet Kour.
