Just take deep breath and Imagine life as a classroom, Every time we regard our past, whether good or bad, if our past is bad we recall them again and again and cry; by this, we disrespect our teacher. Teacher means we learn from our past. If such incident didn't happen in past, today we are not what we have. By learning from past, we become what we have. If our past was good, we recall and cry and wish, "Please, past moments come back," but they never come back, and we feel bad and become sad. We need to not recall past because they never come back and we can't change the past. If we recall past, we have to respect past as a teacher. What is janta Curfew

Usually Janta Curfew is a ‘Citizen-led curfew’, imposed by citizens themselves against the ruling government.
Throughout India’s history, ‘janata curfews’ have been
used as a form of protest.
Earlier the protest was against the Britishers and later it was a protest against the ruling government.
The idea of ‘janata curfew’ had been borrowed from the  1942 Quit India movement when it was first  implemented.

The recent appeal by PM, seemed to have been inspired from his time as a student activist in Gujarat.
NAVNIRMAN MOVEMENT (1973-74)

A socio-political movement in 1974 in Gujarat by students and middle-class
It was against economic crisis and corruption in public life.
Chimanbhai Patel became the chief minister of Gujarat in July 1973 replacing Ghanshyam Oza.
There were allegations of corruption against Chimanbhai Patel.
The urban middle class was facing economic crisis due to the  high price of food.
Different methods were used by people-
Protest march, street protest, riot, hunger strike, strike.
During the movement, several ‘janata curfews’ were
Janata curfews and protests were seen during a period of 63 days in 23 towns and cities of Gujarat.
Shops were shut.

Streets were empty and there was no transport during the 1974 movement.

There was limited movement but largely it was not possible to get any vehicle
Narendra Modi, who was a pracharak of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP)  at the time, had also participated in the movement.
OUTCOME

This was perhaps the first & only successful agitation after Independence that ousted an elected government  through extra-parliamentary mobilization.
Fresh elections were held on 10th June, 1975 and the result was declared on 12th June.

MAHA-GUJARAT MOVEMENT (1956-60)

It led to the creation of Gujarat and Maharashtra from the erstwhile bilingual Bombay State in 1960.

*DDC reviews the progress in the implimentation of POSHAN ABHIYAN.* KISHTWAR 04-07-2020District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today convened a meeting of all district officers here in his office chamber and reviewed the progress in the implimentation of the District Convergence plan under POSHAN ABHIYAN.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pawan Parihar,Joint director Planning Mohd Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch ,District Social welfare officer Tariq Ahmad Qazi, Chief Medical Officer kishtwar Dr R .S Manhas,Chief Education Officers Dr Kuldeep Sharma , Assistant Director FCS&CA kishtwar, Executive officer MC Tariq Balwan,XEn PHE N K Gupta, besides concerned officers and officials among others. At the outset Program Officer ICDS Kishtwar Pawan Parihar briefed the meeting about the progress at different quarters that are underway for the ensured implementation of Convergence Plan under POSHAN ABHIYAN.During the meeting DDC urged the heads of concerned departments to work in a tandem and asked for pooling their efforts under a convergence plan so that an integrated approach could be carved out for achieving the tangible results under the POSHAN ABHIYAN.Furthermore he assessed one by one the Progress made in various quarters viz. construction of govt buildings for the effective functioning of Anganwari Centres in rural areas ,provisions for safe drinking water and child friendly toilet facility in privately hired set ups, maintenance of database of all health checkups and and nutritional status of pregnant ladies ,creation of dedicated Cooking facility in the Anganwadi centres, installation of Sanitary Napkins Vending machines at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Kishtwar and in other identified high schools,providing Jal Jivan kits to AnganWari centres etcDDC asked PO, ICDS for conducting of Capacity building workshops and training programs for Supervisors by the end of this week.Besides , he also directed PO, ICDS and ACD kishtwar for the quantification of funds under convergence plan and submitt the proposals projected under B2V-2 in this regard in his office for further course of action.While emphasizing upon the role of PRIs and other religious leaders in the effective implementation of the POSHAN ABHIYAN and other schemes of ICDS at the gross root level , he asked the Nutritional mobilizers to work in cooperation with them for gross root level success of ABHIYAN.
